Overview of Propane Fire Pit Functionality
There is an abundance of outdoor patio heaters on the market, but none have the class and style of a fire pit. Fire pits are elegantly designed heaters which are a pleasure to own and operate. The exterior of a fire pit can have one of many designs, including rustic, modern, classical, and country. Materials like marble are reserved for the most expensive models, but even the lower grade models have a distinct and appealing look. The frame is often made from steel coated in colored paint. However, wrought iron is also used and is left bare. Closed frame pits hide the metal framework and are coated in things like artificial bricks and slate rock. The mosaic coated fire pits are some of the most beautiful.
In addition to acting as a heater, some pits have a handy ring around the bowl which is used as a table. In fact, some fire pits are actually full sized tables with a fire bowl in the center. For the cleanest operation and ease of use, many people are choosing propane fire pits. These models are distinct in that they burn gas instead of wood. People choose these models primarily because they do not have to store, light and handle wood. Also, gas fire pits start and stop in mere seconds, while wood models take far longer and require a lengthy cool-down time.
After purchasing a propane fire pit, the only thing you will need is a gas tank. These tanks are relatively lightweight and easy to manage. They can be refilled at a nearby gas station for a modest price. Each tank has a threaded port on the top which connects to the fire pit with a tube. The tube then connects to a gas emitter at the bowl’s bottom which releases the gas at a specified rate.
