If you continue to squeeze and pop these unsightly blights, the next thing that you are more likely to ask is how to remove acne scars and you do not want that to happen now do you?
So, how to get rid of whiteheads the right and proper way? You can wipe away your whiteheads without the risk of scarring, breaking your veins and further infection by following these simple steps. Here is how you do it.
1.) Begin by cleaning your skin thoroughly with the use of a mild facial cleanser.
2.) Put your face in a face steamer for at least five to ten minutes to loosen up the whiteheads and open up your skin’s pores. If you do not have a face steamer at home, you can apply a wet and warm compress over your face for a few minutes.
3.) Next, pat your face dry using a clean and soft face towel. Remember, dab or pat your face and do not rub it to dry.
4.) Use a whitehead extractor or comedone remover as some refer to it to squeeze the pus out of your pores. You need to be extremely gentle when you are doing this. Make it a point also that you sterilize the extractor before and after utilizing it. You can also place ice cubes over the infected areas of your face in order to numb these areas a bit.
5.) After you have removed the pus or bacteria from your pores, apply an antiseptic over the area to reduce the chances of infection.
