The Art of Choosing Grey Rugs
Choosing home designs that are of darker and lighter hue brings out a home’s sophistication. Grey has not always been a favorite pick of many but when the transformation of color grey was incorporated in a more chic and elegant styling, that was when people have started embracing it whole heartedly. Personally, grey is a nice pick if I want to keep things minimal and modish.
If you like to watch lifestyle shows, you will see that designers and home owners alike are opting to put grey on the walls and accessories that are of that shade. One item that we can use to infuse this tint is on grey rugs. Rugs are not to be considered as a simple add on in the kitchen or in the doorstep but it can add flavor to the theme and design of our homes if we purchase rugs that are of good design.
Design means the total image of the item. If you want to stick to something plain then so be it. No one is stopping you. In fact, like other colors present in the color wheel, grey can also be in different shades. What I can suggest if you place plain rugs on the doorstep or in any utility room of your homes is to pick out the darker grey colors. This is because we always use it to wipe away the dirt and mess in an area that the rug can easily be blemished. If we stick to darker shades then we are saving ourselves from purchasing new ones all the time. Also, we can eliminate having to clean them always. (Note: You always must clean your rugs from time to time for sanitary reasons).
Grey rugs on your kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms can be more stylish than the rugs you have used outside. There are rugs that have a grey theme but combined with other colors to make it more exciting and desirable. When you see a rug that has a pleasant design on it, then the view upon seeing it can change. For example, we purchase a rug that has elegant swirls on it, a mixture of cream and grey colors, I am sure that you not only purchased that because it is a rug but because you like how it looks.
Choosing home accessories does not rest upon usage purposes but also the style that it can bring us. So if you choose to buy grey rugs, pick one that has everything aforementioned.
